BCH → Virement SEPA
Sell Bitcoin Cash and get paid by Virement SEPA
This corridor converts your BCH into Euro and pushes the amount onto Virement SEPA. This page brings both halves of the trip together: what leaving the Bitcoin Cash chain costs and takes, and what Virement SEPA does once the order is out.
- Median total 5 h
- Currency EUR
- 13 countries covered
- No rail fee
Corridor available, not yet stabilised
This corridor works and orders are executed. We do not yet have enough volume to consider our delays stabilised: a spread surcharge applies and this page is not proposed for indexing. It stays reachable and linked from the rest of the site.
The corridor in numbers
All these values come from the rail and network catalogue published on this site. They are market orders of magnitude, republished as soon as our own measurements contradict them — never contractual commitments.
- Median total time
- 5 hFastest confirmation: 1 h on Bitcoin Cash, then rail settlement. A slower network shifts everything accordingly.
- Rail settlement (p50 / p95)
- 4 h / 1 dayThe median describes the common case, the p95 the slow one. We show both because a median alone hides exactly what worries you.
- Operating window
- Business days onlyCut-off at 15:00: an order submitted after it goes into the next run, so the next business day.
- Settlement currency
- EUR — EuroIf this is not your account currency, your bank applies its own conversion on arrival. That cost does not go through us and therefore does not appear in our breakdown.
- Min – max per operation
- €20.00 – €500,000On the deposit side the asset minimum adds to the rail one: 0.05 BCH. The stricter of the two decides.
- Rail fee
- No rail feeIts own line in the breakdown, next to the network cost and our spread. The three sum to exactly the gap to mid-market.
The trip, step by step
Each step has its own duration. None is rounded in our favour.
Quote and lock
The net shows with the full breakdown. When the order is created, the rate is frozen for the deposit window.
Deposit
A dedicated address is issued for your BCH, with the memo if the network requires one.
Confirmation
About 1 h on this asset’s fastest network. Tracking shows the confirmation count live.
Payout
The order goes out on Virement SEPA as soon as the threshold is reached: about 4 hours of settlement, then a downloadable receipt.
Deposit networks accepted for this corridor
The network changes neither the rail nor the currency: it only changes how long you wait before the payout can leave.
| Network | Confirmations | Estimated wait | Memo required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin Cash | 6 | 1 h | None |
The pitfall on the deposit side
Bitcoin Cash accepts CashAddr and the legacy format, visually identical to a Bitcoin address. Sending BCH to a Bitcoin address is a permanent loss: check the network, not just the address.
Beneficiary details required, and validation rules
Every field is validated as you type, not at send time. An error is flagged immediately rather than as a rejection days later.
| Field | Required | Validation rule | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Account holder name | Yes | 2 to 140 characters · edges trimmed | Must match the name verified on your ID exactly. A mismatch gets the transfer rejected. |
| IBAN | Yes | IBAN format: 2 country letters, 2 check digits, then the national identifier · upper-cased | No spaces. We validate the checksum before confirming your order. |
The rules shown here are the ones actually enforced client-side and server-side: a single source, so no possible gap between what the form accepts and what the rail accepts.
Countries where this corridor can pay you
The rail behaves identically in each of these countries. The country page adds the local reporting framework and the alternative rails available there.
The rail in detail
Standard SEPA covers the whole SEPA area, beyond the euro zone alone: it is the rail that reaches accounts instant does not cover yet, in Poland, Scandinavia or Switzerland.
Orders are batched and cleared at fixed times of the business day. An order submitted after the cut-off goes into the next batch, that is, the next business day. On a Friday afternoon that means arrival on Monday. This is not a queue on our side: it is how clearing works.
Public holidays are not the same across SEPA countries. A euro order cleared on a European calendar can therefore arrive a day later than expected around a local holiday.
What we control, and what we do not
We control neither the speed of a block nor that of interbank clearing. We control triggering the payout the moment the confirmation threshold is reached, with no internal queue, and showing you both durations separately so you know which one you are waiting on.

FAQ: Bitcoin Cash to Virement SEPA
How long between sending my BCH and the money landing?
About 5 h in total in the median case: the confirmation time of the network you pick, then about 4 hours of settlement on Virement SEPA. This rail only runs on business days and closes at 15:00, which can push the payout to the next business day.
What is the minimum to sell Bitcoin Cash to Virement SEPA?
Two minimums apply at once: 0.05 BCH on the deposit side, and €20.00 on the settlement side. The stricter of the two decides. The rail cap is €500,000 per operation.
What exactly do I pay on this corridor?
Three lines, shown separately before you confirm: the BCH network cost, taken in kind from your deposit; our spread, surcharged for asset volatility and the corridor’s beta status; and the rail fee, that is No rail fee. There is no fourth line, and the three sum to exactly the gap between the mid-market value and the net.
Does this corridor depend on my country of residence?
Virement SEPA works the same way in every country it covers: same detail format, same delay, same settlement currency. That is why there is a single page for this corridor rather than one per country: a country variant would say nothing more.
What if I send an amount different from the quote?
Nothing is lost. An underpayment triggers a recalculation at the locked rate, and you receive the amount matching what you actually sent. An overpayment is handled the same way on the excess. In both cases, if the result falls below the rail minimum of €20.00, we offer another payout method rather than freezing the funds.
