AML / CFT

The anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist financing framework applying to providers.

The framework has three strands: knowing the customer, monitoring operations to detect what diverges from the expected profile, and reporting suspicions to the competent financial intelligence unit.

The third implies a rarely stated rule: a suspicious activity report is not communicated to the person concerned, and that prohibition is part of the obligation. A service explaining in detail why an operation was reported would not be respecting the framework it is subject to.
