01

Why an editorial policy on a conversion site

What we write about fees, timings, tax or regulation shapes decisions people make about their money. Loose content on that ground does not just make a bad page: it makes someone take a bad decision. This policy describes the production chain that prevents it.

It is public and can be held against us. If a page departs from it, reporting that is legitimate and the correction is owed.

02

The rule that overrides the others

No factual claim about the company is hard-coded into a page. No founding year, no licence number, no volume processed, no customer count, no rating, no testimonial, no partner logo, no executive name.

Those values live in a single configuration file, where each carries a marker while it is not verifiable. An unfilled value is not displayed: the block is hidden, or an explicit pending notice appears. That is why the legal notice page shows empty lines rather than filler values.

03

Who writes, and who reviews

Every substantive piece involves three distinct roles, which cannot be held by the same person on the same text.

Author
Writes the text and supplies the sources for each verifiable claim. They are named on the page as soon as an author profile exists.
Domain reviewer
Checks technical accuracy: a rail timing, an identifier format, a confirmation count, a ceiling rule. They compare the text against product data, not against memory.
Compliance reviewer
Steps in on any content touching regulation, tax or risk. They hold a veto: an unapproved text does not ship.

No author byline is published while the person does not exist and has not consented to be named. An invented author name added to lend weight to an article is exactly the kind of false signal this policy forbids.

04

How a figure is verified

  1. A product figure — timing, ceiling, fee, network count — is never retyped into prose: it is read from the data source when the page renders. It therefore cannot become false unless the product is false too.
  2. An external figure — a regulatory threshold, a statutory period — is tied to its reference text, and the reference appears on the page.
  3. A market order of magnitude is presented as such, with the date of its last manual verification. Rail timings carry that date, rail by rail.
  4. An unverifiable figure is not published. It is not rounded, approximated or dressed up as a conservative estimate: it is absent.
05

What we refuse to write

  • An undemonstrable superlative: “best rate on the market”, “fastest”, “leader”. Such phrasing carries no verifiable content.
  • Artificial urgency: decorative countdowns, invented scarcity, an offer expiring for no operational reason.
  • Investment advice in disguise: “the right time to sell”, “make the most of the rally”. We know nothing about your situation.
  • A comparison whose only function is to put us first. A comparison ships with its method, its collection date and its sources, or it does not ship.
  • A composed or reworded testimonial. A review is quoted verbatim with its author’s consent, or it does not appear.
  • A regulatory compliance claim we cannot back with a public register entry anyone can check.
06

Independence and interests

No editorial content is sold, sponsored or bartered. No ranking of rails, assets or countries is influenced by payment: display order follows an explicit rule — availability, timing, cost — and that rule is the same for everyone.

If an affiliate link or a paid partnership ever appeared inside a piece of content, it would be disclosed at the top of that content, in plain words, not in a footnote.

Our own limits are documented as thoroughly as our capabilities: the rails we cannot serve, the countries we refuse, the assets we do not handle and the reason for each exclusion are published. A service that publishes only its successes tells half of the operational truth.

07

How an error is corrected

  1. You report the error to the support address, with the page address and the disputed element.
  2. We acknowledge within 48 working hours and say whether the correction is accepted, refused or under review.
  3. A factual error is corrected within 5 business days. An error liable to drive a financial decision is corrected immediately, before the detailed answer even goes out.
  4. The correction is flagged on the page: a dated note states what changed and why. We do not silently edit a text to make an error disappear.
  5. Legal documents follow a stricter regime: any change creates a new numbered version, with an entry in the history at the foot of the page.

Report a content error

Subject “Correction”. Give the exact page address and the sentence concerned: it saves us guessing and shortens the fix.

08

Content freshness

Pages depending on changing data — rails, countries, assets, tax — carry a last-verified date, distinct from the publication date. A cosmetic update date, changed while the content stands still, is a practice we forbid ourselves: it misleads both the reader and the search engine.

Content that has become inaccurate and cannot be fixed is withdrawn, with a redirect to whatever replaces it, never left online “for now”.
